Edge Computing Chapter Summary
Chapter 1 - Edge Computing Needs Assessment
In chapter one, we will help you determine what you need at the Edge. Do you need to process data and send a smaller set to a core data center? Do you need to run local operations like a point of sale? Or do you need a massive data store servicing hundreds to thousands of local devices or users?
Chapter 2 - How to Handle Failure?
You must be prepared for an outage no matter where you process or store data. The Edge makes handling failure more critical but also potentially more challenging. In this chapter, we will discuss how to handle processing loss, storage hardware failure, or total site loss.
Chapter 3 - How to Handle Edge Scale?
What happens if one or multiple Edge locations become full-fledged data centers? This chapter will cover how to select an Edge solution that enables you to avoid costly migrations by being flexible to your future growth and needs.
Chapter 4 - How to Keep the Edge Simple?
In chapter four, we will discuss keeping the Edge simple. How do you keep from running three or four different infrastructures based on the size or requirements of each Edge location?
